Hi guys and welcome back to my blog!
It’s been a while since my last blog post. Liam and I are back in Germany and all settled in after 3 months in South-Africa. Of course it didn’t take very long for me to book our next trip haha!
With stunning weather forecasts over Easter Weekend in Germany, we decided to explore some local must visit towns. Bonn was the first stop on our list. I’ve been wanting to experience the Cherry Blossom Avenue in Bonn for a few years now. Last year we stopped over in Bonn on our way to Keukenhof end of April but unfortunately we missed the blossoms by a couple of days. The cherry blossoms are usually in full bloom for about 2 weeks in mid-April each year.
This year our timing was perfect, and what an amazing sight it was. It truly looks like a pink sea of flowers. We walked up and down the avenue a few times, just taking in the natural beauty, and of course we had to take some photos! Can you blame me?
If you ever visit Germany during Spring time, you have to make sure to see this spectacular sight in Bonn’s Old Town. Heerstrasse is definitely one of the world’s most beautiful streets!
Until next time
