The Everything Bag

Hi Guys and welcome back to my blog!

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas Holiday. We are having the best summer holiday in South-Africa. Sidney travelled back to Germany earlier this week, but Liam and I are having so much fun that we decided to stay a little bit longer.

There are so many things to love about South-Africa……sun, sea, beautiful surroundings, wine, gin, amazing food, wonderful people and talent, lots of talent. One thing that makes me happy is finding unique pieces! I especially enjoy supporting talented and passionate entrepreneurs and if they happen to be from South-Africa it’s extra special to me.

My beautiful friend, Scherry-Lee carried a gorgeous bag with her when we met up over the holidays. She is a Gauteng based hairstylist that runs her own business in Pretoria East. This fashionista and mommy of 2 boys also loves finding unique items to show her clients. Her recent favourite brand is MiGi Designs, a South-African based momtrepreneur business. All their products and materials are locally sourced and hand crafted in South-Africa. Their products are unique, pretty, practical and superb quality.

Needless to say I was so impressed by this versatile Go-Go Bag from MiGi Designs that I ordered mine the very next day.

I lovvve the Go-Go Bag for so many reasons! The size, simplicity of the design, the price tag (@ R650) and the fact that it’s lightweight and made of waterproof canvas fabric on the outside. It’s stylistically versatile, comfortable to wear over your shoulder and on trend.

The fact that it’s easy to care for ticks another box for me. It’s machine (gentle cycle) and hand washable with normal detergent. Just hang it outside to dry (don’t tumble dry) and there you go. Easy ladies!

There is also a zipped pocket on the inside of the bag for valuable items and accessories. The inside lining is made from cotton or floral satin. I love the floral satin lining, it gives the bag a surprise element and it looks really pretty!

I also bought this cute little bag to use with my Go-Go Bag. I love the cheeky tassle detail. It can be used for a make-up bag, accessories bag, pencil bag if you are a teacher or if you are a mom you can place nappies, wipes, bum cream etc. inside. It’s not on their website yet, but you can contact MiGi Designs at to order one @ R380.

The Go-Go Bag comes in a few different prints:

  • Black with floral lining
  • Khaki green with floral lining
  • Navy & Beige stripes with navy lining/floral lining
  • Black & White thin stripes with black lining/floral lining

For me less is more, so I bought the black and white thin stripes with floral lining. The beautiful tropical print is a fun option if you are not afraid to make a statement. The tropical print on the pictures was a limited edition and sold out very quickly. The good news is that MiGi Designs will be launching a new tropical print in 2018!

If you are a mommy or mommy to be you can use the Go-Go Bag for your hospital bag, daily outings with your baby or kids and you don’t have to pack it away when your kids are all grown up. It’s also perfect to use as a weekender, beach bag or gym bag and therefore not just a Mommy bag. I would recommend the Go-Go Bag to every lady as a staple accessory piece.

You can view and shop their collection online at and also follow them @MiGiDesigns on Instagram.
